You are better off insuring your bike, getting a good lock, one to secure it to a stationary object like fence or solid post and another to encircle your wheels, seat and frame together. Also make sure your bicycle is marked (etched into the metal) at the bottom of the frame. Several places is good too.

In Denmark, bicycle theft is rather rampant, but I have never had my bike stolen because it has a stationary lock around the back wheel, another cable lock which is always secured to a bicycle stand and another which goes through my front wheel, frame, under my seat and around back wheel. It only takes about a minute to secure and unsecure, but it is too much bother for a thief to deal with.

If another bike in the area is easier to steal they will bypass yours. 8 years of doing this and never had it stolen and it is out nearly everyday in a major city that is well known for bike crime - Copenhagen Denmark.

P.S. Never heard of a lo jack system for bicycles and if Denmark does not have it, I doubt someplace that is not as "bicycle oriented" as the US would invest in creating something like that. Could be a good market to get into and sell it to countries like China, Denmark, Holland, etc. where cycling is a norm and not a fad.

Yes it would, But make sure that you get an adaptor that changes the voltage when charging it or you will fry it. I'm sure you already knew that. I just wanted to remind you not to forget it when you pack. I've been thinking about getting one to. They look really cool. Have fun traveling and please be safe.

The Garmin Nuvi 3790T is one of the thinnest and lightest portable navigators we've tested; it's the best looking, too. Voice Command is truly hands-free and can be activated merely by speaking to the Nuvi. Bluetooth calling also helps drivers keep their hands on the wheel. Traffic data is free.

Out of curiosity, I used one of you claims, and I investigated it.

You can go to recovery.gov and see what is being spent where and on what. You don't need to repeat or listen to lies.

You claimed this:

$9.38 million to renovate a century-old train depot in Lancaster County, Pa., that has not been used for three decades.

I found this, and my guess is the rest of your chain email is similar:

Media deceptively claim stimulus funds going to "train station" that "hasn't been used in 30 years"
June 17, 2009 2:26 pm ET

SUMMARY: Media figures repeated Sen. Tom Coburn's claim that stimulus funds are being used "to renovate an abandoned train station that hasn't been used in 30 years." But while the station house has long been closed, "[t]he station's platform currently serves more than 80,000 passengers a year," as Coburn's report noted.
